Access Statement for Chantry Cottage Bed  &  Breakfast

Introduction

Situated in the centre of the village of Muston, Chantry Cottage B&B is the perfect place to stay for either business or leisure.   Muston is situated in the Vale of Belvoir on the borders of Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire, 6 miles west of Grantham on the A52, 4 miles from the A1.

All of our accommodation is newly built along side our own cottage offering  level access to all areas.  We have 2 rooms with king size beds and 2 with twin beds.  All have en-suite shower rooms with level entry showers. Breakfast is taken in our spacious conservatory which is a short walk from the bedrooms.  Where possible we use locally sourced ingredients for our breakfasts and we are happy to try and help with any requests for specific dietary requirements.

Pre-Arrival

If you are travelling to us by car please see the map on our website.  For satnav or route planning our postcode is NG13 0FB.

The nearest main line railway station is 6 miles away at Grantham which is on the East Coast Main Line (just over an hours journey from Kings Cross Station).  Taxis are available at the station or we can book one in advance for you.  Bottesford railway station is a mile and a half away and is on the Grantham to Nottingham line.

Car Parking and Arrival

There is a large, gated  off-road parking area right next to the accommodation.  The car park is well lit at night by motion sensor lights.  There are no steps from the car park into the accommodation.  There is space, if you wish, to park on the block paving along side of the bedrooms to empty your vehicle when you arrive.  We will be happy to help with your luggage on arrival and departure.

Bedrooms

There are 4 bedrooms, two with king size beds and two with 3ft twin beds.   All have level access from the car park.  The door to the bedroom is 860mm wide.  The height of the beds from the top of the mattress to the floor is 625mm for the king size beds and 615mm for the twin beds.

Rooms are bright and evenly lit.   All have laminated wooden floors with a non-slip rug by the bed which can be removed if necessary.  Bedside lamps are in each room and a reading lamp is available on request.  All bedding is non-feather.  All rooms have a digital television with remote control.

En-suite shower rooms

All rooms have en-suite shower rooms.  The door is 820mm wide.  There is a step free shower with glass panel, well lit overhead lighting and LED lighting in the mirror controlled by movement sensor.  There are grab rails in one of the twin bedrooms.

Dining Room

Breakfast is taken in the spacious conservatory, a short distance from the bedrooms on level block paving.   Double patio doors, level with the patio open into the conservatory which has a tiled floor.  Lighting is natural daylight and if necessary by lighting in a central ceiling fan.  We have four separate dining tables which can be joined if required.

Breakfast is served but you can help yourself to fruit juices, cereals and fruit.  We will endeavour to meet any dietary requirements.  Please advise us when making your booking.

Garden

There is a paved/block paved patio area which can be accessed from the bedrooms, all on the level.  Tables and chairs are available on the patio.  The garden has flower and vegetable areas with two round lawns.  A further large lawn then runs down to the River Devon which winds through the village.

Additional Information

There is lockable storage space for visitors who wish to use it eg for cycles.

The local General Hospital is 6 miles away and incorporates an A&E Dept and GP Out of Hours Centre.  The nearest GP practices are one and a half miles away.   Please let us know if your require any further information.
